This question was asked on 12/08/2014 in the NSW Upper House. You can read the original contribution here.

Mr DAVID SHOEBRIDGE: My question is directed to the Minister for Roads and Freight, representing the Minister for Local Government. Given the appalling corruption that has been exposed in recent weeks with corporate interests literally buying Coalition members of Parliament, what possible argument does the Government have for delivering two votes for every business in the City of Sydney?

The Hon. Dr Peter Phelps: Point of order: The question clearly contains argument and should be ruled out of order or at least that much of it that is unintelligibly out of order.

The PRESIDENT: Order! The question fails on a number fronts. If the member cares to rephrase it to remove the epithets, argument and imputations, I will be happy to hear it later in question time.
