On Thursday 27 February the Greens motion calling for the release of the Yarra Bay Business Case, related emails and associated documents was successfully passed by the NSW Parliament.

These will be tabled in 14 days and hopefully give some much needed transparency for these controversial plans.

Greens MP David Shoebridge said:

“We’re glad to have succeeded in forcing some transparency from the NSW Government which has been trying hiding the business case for their controversial cruise terminal at Yarra Bay.

“Locals have been calling for more information and justification for the plan which will wreck this beautiful bay and destroy their local amenity.

“When these documents are released we will critically examine them and ensure they are shared with the local community who deserve to be informed and consulted.

“We achieved this win in Parliament because of the extraordinarily strong community campaign,” Mr Shoebridge said.
